Yet another sad day for the music industry in 2008, first Jeff Healy now Isaac Hayes. Isaac's music and "Rock Fish"/Rockford Files will always live on. Rest In Peace...

This seems to have been a big weekend for bad news.

The Stax museum in Memphis is well worth checking out. They have a section about Isaac there. I do hope it will be enlarged after this.

Just helping to spread the word about going to see GOOD bands and GOOD live music as often as possible!!!

Not nit picking, but that's a movie Rev.  He was performing until the end.  Here just a couple weeks ago.
He started the gold chains thing that these kids today can't touch. Also the bald head trend.  Man had style and class on all fronts.  Humans rights activist also.

I wonder if Isaac walked away from South Park on his own as the story was reported or if the church coerced him? He never had a problem spoofing anybody and everybody as is the format on South Park until they spoofed Scientology. No more fudgems or chocolate salty balls.

I guess we'll never know.  In the final episode with Chef "Chef Returns", Matt and Trey pretty well trashed his character, but left us hanging at the end when they rescue his remains to create a Darth Chef character.  I wonder...
