Topic: Joes pedal board question

Seen Joe at Birkenhead the other day - just awesome in a word. However....

I noticed that on his pedal board he has a boss digital delay which, to say the least he used extensively during most of his songs but not to add any noticable delay to a song . He seemed to be using it as some kind of boost????

Question - why was he using it so many times and for what reason. Anybody know ?

Any opinion greatly recieved.

Because he likes it.

Re: Joes pedal board question

You can only hear the effect when he stops playing... you can hear the delay of the last note(s) played.  It's a very subtle, almost reverb-like effect when Joe uses it.  Listen to Blues Deluxe- when he plays the part in the mid-end of the solo- where he puts the boost on- at the end of it, when he slides down from the c, you can hear the delay.

hope this helps,
Scott

On his Hal Leornard instructional DVD he explains his settings on the DD3. Demonstrates the sound he gets out of it. www.musicdispatch.com http://www.musicdispatch.com/item_detai … +bonamassa
