That's WAY to high for that amp, he needs to start breaking those pills in half!

Nice! Great shape too.
Ouch! my bung-hole
they are cool, but not worth the raping. For the $$ I'd get a TwoRock or something.
That guy's nuts. They go for 1500-2000 at the most.
He's right on. There are a ton of crazy people in just this forum who would love to have an amp that Joe Bonamassa, slash and John Frushante? use. 4000 is the cost of a new boutique amp. Why then would a classic not go for that.
This is the same argument for why a 54 strat is 70,000 or a 58 les paul is 300,000 or why a 59 bassman is 20-30 thousand.
There are way to many rich people who buy these amps as investments and pull the price up so the rest of us musicians cant ever get one.
I'd buy that amp if I had the money. Its only going to get more out of reach.
$4000 is only a rip off if you pay that price. This guy is asking $4000 or best offer. I'll venture to guess that it'll sell for $2600 which I consider a bit high but a fair price. Still more than I would pay. It's easier to lower your price than it is to raise it........Unless your Guitar Center.
I got my 1500 to 2000 price range from recent completed auctions. If someone is dumb enough to pay 4000 for one, well, there's a sucker born every minute.
People are on ebay to get a good deal, and (I hope) most know how to look at completed auctions to judge the market value.
I thinks it's high as I just purchased locally a 1988 Jubilee 2555 for 1100. But then I wasn't paying for the anniversary silver cover and emblem. Make the dude a offer. The worst is he'll decline, but hey ya never know.

I was at a Blues Festival a couple of years ago... Everyone had one! And it was NOT reissues. I drooled all over myself.
I just saw a 1X12 combo Marshall silver jubilee at a show for 2200 and the guy didnt really want to sell it.. I think a far price for one is around 2500 really. $4,000 is pretty steep. But if he gets it thats bad news for the rest of us...

By the way... Stay away from the 50 watters.. They dont have the same midrange as the hundred watters...

Holy hell! I better go buy the one the local guitardealer has. Its in excellent condition, and cost a lot less!
Does anyone know how many 1987 Silver Jubilee 2555 and 1988 Jubilee 2555 100/50 watt models were made for and sold in the US?
