Topic: Hello - I'm Thomas

...And I'm a Bonaholic!

The first time I heard of Joe Bonamassa was when I was sent a load of Los Lonely Boys bootlegs by a nice poster back on the old LLB forums. Among those bootlegs was a live recording of Bonamassa, and that's how it started. (The package also had an Indigenous CD, and they are in their own right INCREDIBLE aswell, but that's another story)
From there my CD collection grew steadily until it culminated march this year where I got to see him LIVE in Amager Bio in Copenhagen, Denmark. (Not a good place to live, if you're into blues and bluesrock. Bonamassa has been generous with his visits though!)
Now I've taken the next step and joined the forums, and here's hoping I get to see him again soon!

In any case, I'm Thomas. I'm 20 years old. I study Law at the Copenhagen University in Denmark. I listen to blues and bluesrock (well duh) and enjoy Indigenous, SRV and John Mayer in particular. I'm not shy of listening to funk or old time greats like Earth Wind and Fire aswell. I also play guitar casually, I own a mim strat with Texas Specials. Not much more to say than I'm glad to be here!

Re: Hello - I'm Thomas

Hi Thomas and a big welcome to the forum.  It's a great place to be so hope you can spend some time here.

I'm so glad you have fed your Bonaddiction and seen Joe live in Copenhagen.  But remember, once is never enough!

Welcome to the forum Thomas. Enjoy the forum smile
Glad that Joe has made it to Denmark several times, I hope other artists also take note.

Re: Hello - I'm Thomas

Hi Thomas and welcome to Joe World! I'm always happy when we get a new young member. Don't worry, there are many others here. Keep the faith. If there are artists you want to see, let your local venues know. There isn't a Blues Society Chapter in your country. Maybe it's time to look into starting one?? They held the first ever European Blues Conference in Italy this June. Hopefully things will improve and you can be a part of it. Next years conference will be in Norway.

Regardless, have fun and know we are all afflicted with the Joe bug!      Cathy

Welcome to the forum Thomas. How wonderful to come across Joe by chance like that. We are all hopelessly addicted here but we love it!
