Thanks for making the link (almost)..all you did was not make a space and hit return and hit the PREVIEW button before submitting when you have doubts.

I laughed so hard I spittled the screen (ew)!

I guess this answers the age old question...."Does the bear $**t in the woods??"....The answer is undoubtedly.......yes...... which means he surely eats in the woods as well.....and most likely.... he always answers the dinner "bells".....and maybe even enjoys a little "pepper" seasoning with his dinner.....I'll skip the bells & pepper spray, thank you.....I think I'll stick to just "running away" as if one of "Monty Python's"... "killer rabbits" were chasing me down...."Run Away....Run Away"...I don't know bear $**t, but I sure do know chicken $**t...........Pete

I say you just use  something more potent than bell peppers...

Re: WARNING TO HIKERS!!!

You all laugh, but we take bear quite serious along the Yukon.   I've had 2 different blk bear stalk me in  the last 10 years.  Will give you a bad headache too. They came in on me like a cat on a rabbit, front quarters down, ears twittlin back and forth like crazy. I was able to hollar and wave the one away. The second one was following in on me along a trail and I shot him.  The grizz pretty much stay up on the summits, but we see alot of blk bear along the river.  And bottomline, everybody shoots any bear the second time they come around the house.  Bear figure out pretty quick, there's better stuff inside than the dogfood out on the porch.  I actually have a buddy who had to shoot a bear inside his house, broke in while he was in town and didn't want to leave.  He shot it inside the house, and I helped drag that bloody mess out of the house.   Actually, probably 20 people mauled every summer up here in Ak, no joke.

Hey wasn't taking it lightly. Thought you'd get a kick out of it. Had my own bear encounters in the Mohawk Forest in Massachusetts. Camping and my son said "um.........dad." turned around and I could've touched him! We just started screaming and ran AT him. Thank god he ran. That time it was a human who.......in the woods!! He came back that night and mauled my cooler!!
