Topic: Moto GP (a motorbike topic)

I know there are quite a few bikers here, so maybe someone else happened to watch today's race from Laguna Seca?

I'm no biker, but I've been a Valentino Rossi fan for years, so I try to watch when he rides. Today's race was just about the most astonishing duel of the highest class that you will ever see on monstrously fast motorcycles. If you can catch highlights anywhere, do so!

Rossi and Stoner fought out an unbelievable battle miles ahead of the rest. Honestly, this was right up there in the 'classic moments in sport' category. Awesome, breathtaking.

If we're lucky there might be a snippet on the sports report on the local news since we're close to Monterey. I dig the GP bikes, it's balls to the wall. A good friend works for Chevron Oil and years ago he worked in Research & Development. Dave's job was traveling with a GP race team and collecting oil samples from race to race, nice work if you can get it huh?

Re: Moto GP (a motorbike topic)

Watched it tonight on British Eurosport and BBC in the adverts - WOW! what a race. Phenominal first half until Stoner put it in the dirt and he flopped it over  to remount and come in second. Probably the most scintilating bit of race footage ever - that will be a tape I'll treasure.

What a shame that Stoner had to complain about the passes that Rossi pulled on him. sorry Casey, but this was not a knitting competition, you were on the ragged edge most of the time when Rossi was not passing you - sorry, you have confirmed that you're ungracious in defeat!

Great performance from Dovisioso, first time on the circuit to finish 5th

It was a truly spectacular race. They were really riding on the edge, or sometimes over it ;-)
A few weeks ago I was at the MotoGP race in Assen, it was fun but not nearly as exciting as this race. Stoner just drove away from the rest and won... Glad that didnt happen this time smile
