Topic: Back Door Slam in Atlanta 07/22/08

Going to see Back Door Slam Tuesday night here in Atlanta. Not many Blues Rock bands play here so I can't miss this one. I have been watching youtube stuff on them and purchased their CD this week. It should be a great show. This show will get me ready for Gov't Mule also here in Atlanta in 2 weeks.

You must be in Music Heaven to have Davey w/ Back Door Slam, and Warren with in a two week period!

Hope your seat is close to the front to see how Davey makes the sound that he does. When he was in PDX over the 4th, they set up their own simple equipment. I think he had a total of (2) pedals, and played the same guitar the whole set.
BDS reminds me of Joe and the Band, in that the studio tracks are great, but get them in front of a crowd, and they go to a higher level live.

As for Warren, you know that he will rock you to your soul. Saw them in SLC about a month back. They always deliver a full meal deal. They don't hold back anything.

Hey Karco...

Not sure if you're aware, but some of the best BDS clips on youTube are in a 7 tune set from Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta.  They're so good, in fact, a buddy of mine from NY pulled the audio from them and I now have the mp3's of that set.  Simply incredible stuff.....

Karco..wear a Joe shirt and Davey will notice!! I just saw them Saturday and they are trying out some new songs, so you'll enjoy that. Have fun and report back, please!  Cathy

DAMN!!!!!!! BACK DOOR SLAM - POSTPONED for Atlanta tonight. I just finished ironing my favorite Joe shirt and read Davey has lost his voice and the show has been canceled.

I sure hope they don't re schedule the same day as Gov't Mule.
