Topic: Only 49 days left to clean the house

No really, it's ok. I'm NOT starting another marathon countdown! I just thought that mentioning the days in the title would immediately give away the subject, at least to regular readers.

I am extremely happy to announce that Cathy will be visiting from Sept. 3. She will finally get to see the city of her dreams - and who better to show it to her, eh? big_smile

Numerous plans are already afoot, but I'll let Cathy and Andre explain further. Suffice it to say, that among the many 'firsts' that Cathy will be experiencing, there will also be her first opportunity to see West Ham play! big_smile cool

And yes, I have some serious cleaning to do if I want my house to look as perfect as Cathy's did when I arrived there.

Yes!! I'm coming across the pond for the first time!! Look out Amsterdam! Then off to Germany to meet Bonabuddies there. That weekend, my sister-in-law, her bf, her daughter and her mom all arrive and we will all be joined by my nephew who is in Belgium playing baseball. They will leave for Brussels Monday. My sister in law has a meeting and then they have day trips planned. George and I are then going to Belgium to watch my nephew's last ball games. Then it's back to Amsterdam for a flight out on the 16th...phew...

So, any Bonabuddies in the area, it would be nice to meet you. I wish the timing was different..a Joe show would have made it perfect!

George said "And yes, I have some serious cleaning to do if I want my house to look as perfect as Cathy's did when I arrived there"...very funny!! At least that means you don't have to do much...                             Cathy

We´re all excited about the Trans-Atlantic-Bonaboddy-Meeting already ... Cathy, I´m sure you will absolutely LOVE Amsterdam, it´s one of the most beautiful cities I have seen so far - and hopefully you will also love Germany, we´ll do our best to make you feel very welcome smile.
Geko might even grill some original German Bratwurst for you ...

Cathy, such a shame you couldn't coordinate Liverpool into your plans, that would have been great - to welcome other Bonabuddies from your side of the pond to a Joe Gig here in Liverpool would have been special - if you had made it just a couple of weeks earllier....?

Today was really the pits - damp, drizzly, gray and chilly all day. It could have been October or March. Bah.

In fact, I think we need another 'let's complain about the weather' topic.

Yes, it's still exciting, especially as this is Cathy's first visit to Europe and I'm sure she's going to be just as gobsmacked by what she sees here as I was in Maryland! cool

It's quite amazing how the weeks seem to fly by with nothing getting done in house. But as Cathy very reasonably pointed out, if I clean a lot of stuff now I'll only have to do it again before she comes, which would be a waste, so it makes more sense to only do it all once closer to the date. Don't it?

Maybe if Geko sees this he can post his plans for the German leg of the September mimi tour? Or Andre once he's back from his holidays?

Hello George ,Cathy, Andre , Eva ,and all Bonabuddys im very exited about our little meeting out of the Joe events and im very exited to welcome you at my House i do my best to finish the most of Renovateing works so im not that mutch on the computer but i like to send you some pics it has come out very nice. please email me and i get your email adress
George you ask what i have planed ? and i thought better we can plan the Aktiveties all together first we need to know where we meet what time /place      we go to the Devon Allman show mabye some drinks after that??? and than we all can stay at my Home at the next day we can relax take breakfirst an than Make a Good Barbecue
what i can plan is the barbecue and breakfirst and i thought i make a mix with traditional German
And Traditional Greek Food we can make Bratwurst also Nürnberger and Bifteki.Kalambokia,thats my work dont care about that my mother,Brother and a frind sure help me to arrange the Prework also i have some Guitars at home and we can try to jam little bit it will be mutch fun (because we all can`t play .......lol we can record our best of Bonamassa Fan Soudtrack ......lol

Oh yes, "Nürnberger" for the Nürnberg girl please - I won´t eat ANY other sausages lol ... just kidding of course!

I´m planning to drive up to MGB maybe a day or two before the show (visiting a friend there) - so I could maybe help you with the preparation Geko. Just let me know if you need someone to make all the salads ... wink

I´ll write a big "all-around-email" this evening so we can start planning a bit - funny thing is that I haven´t been to Cologne and the cities around myself. I never get out of the Bavarian forrest, you know lol ... this is going to be a great trip, I´m sure!

There's clearly a gap in my sausage education - what exactly is a Nuernberger?

We can bring some stuff from here too, although there's not that much to choose from except cheese and maybe 'vla'. Do you (Germans) know what vla is? If not, you're in for a treat, as any Dutchies would agree.

I'm afraid we're going to disappoint you about a guitar jam, Geko. Neither Cathy nor I play a note, and I don't think Andre does either, but could do the thigh and table top percussion instead. big_smile

George, you need to take Cathy for some authentic Dutch cuisine. I forget what that dish is called with the meat and cabbage mixed up in potatoes?  I had that when I was in A'dam a couple of years ago.  Washed down with some Heineken of course!

Yes, I know 'vla' George and PLEASE bring some of that along, and if you do, then make sure that you bring A LOT of it with you! smile

Now the sausage education: Nürnberger is a type of Bratwurst that is very small and seasoned in a special way that only people from Nürnberg know wink. There´s also Thüringer Würstchen and all that stuff, but the little Nürnbergers are really tasty!
I should actually bring fresh ones directly from Nürnberg (if I´m going by car) ... looks like this is not only going to be a Trans-Atlantic-Forum-Meeting, but also a mixed-nations-barbecue ...

And concerning the guitar - I do play, but I´m probably the poorest guitar player on the planet. But as long as that doesn´t matter, we can play Geko wink.

i think lets see it as that was musik is and lets have fun at least feeling and timing can make some
simple notes sound Musik and if someone jumps over his shadow and starts to sing its so fun it realy dosent matter if you start all over three times or someone sings not that good
its all about the musik and feeling you get sometimes a few seconds sometimes a minute
thats up to how good you improvise or better say get together on a wave
and if its not its a good lesson ,but i think we have to hear a lot of musik
George you ask if i have a Venil disk Player ....and i have not ...but i will get one for you and you not belive but my brother has the compleed venil Disk collektion from my father and that are all about 800 (schallplatten ) there are the original prints from Rory Gallager ;Beatels , Stones ,and so mutch
of the old stuff .....i sure can get a Player from a frind he is a freak of Venil Disks he would give the player fore some days ...............Whats Vla ??? sounds glitschi glubber thing???

Today my Nephews were here and the 14 years old Plays and sings
so i dicide to take them with me
also my Brother sayed he like to come with us and wants to take his girlfrind with him
then my Good frind Eddy was coming in and heared wats goin on and would come with me
now im little in trouble i hope there are Five Tickets more
tomorrow i go to the ticket shop we will see
i would so mutch that the kids see Joe
