Anyone plan on going to the July 26 Saturday BDS show? I missed them last time in Chicago and want to see this show
Hey Gary,
DON'T MISS THIS SHOW! I saw them 3 weeks ago here in Pittsburgh and all I can say is they lived up to all the hype. It's a can't miss show. Catch them while you can.
I'll be there with my daughter.
i'd like to go but honestly won't have money unless i have a new job before then. can't afford the gas to make drives any more unless it is once in a lifetime. thing is even a two hour drive any more costs me over 30 bucks in just gas. naperville with food gas and tickets id be spending over a hundred bucks to go to a show that probably would cost 20 if i lived in area and i just can't afford it. i know theyll be back though bds arent going anywhere. and i mean that in a good way they are here to stay.
I know what Suhl's saying about the gas - all these trips to Milw are killing us -
but I figure come November we'll be lying around doing nothing for 6 months -
so we'll bite the bullet and just do it !

That's the spirit Jaci! Jim (SRV) is on beans and bread in order to go to Texas. You know what they say.."Don't run with the big dogs if you're going to pee like a puppy"...Rock on Girlfriend! Cathy

Thanks Cathy - glad to know there are others who think like me.
Roy - how can we come down for Montoya and 2 days later for Bonnie Raitt?
This is going to take some "talking myself into" - we also wanted to go to Brewer
game the afternoon of Montoya - are you in for that?
I would be in Dallas too but not without tickets for LL. We would really like to
meet Jim and Phil - but like I said to Jim "it will happen somewhere else".
Guess we'll stay home and see Bernard Allison at Shank that weekend.
Anyone have any input on him? I've never seen him.....
Jaci
OK, I apologize, it's just that you answer the forum sooner that your emails sometimes.

Jaci, it never happens like that, I'm sure by end of September, you'll have a full agenda for November!

I hope you're right! Sure would be nice if this included some Joe shows - I wouldn't
always be "off topic" if I had some Wisconsin Joe show's to talk about.
Jaci
I'm not pressuring Joe - just saying it would be nice to see some shows on the agenda.
Roy - I think we should bring our folding chairs to Naperville. We have 4 we'll bring along.

if my bank account were low or there was any way i'd do it i would be it is basically either them in naperville now or joe in davenport in august. i already have tickets for a few shows between them and not a lot of money. basically going to davenport means i get a full fledged festival out of it, as jeff coffin will also be there and i really want to see him too, and moreover i get to see my brother and it will have been the first time i have vistied him since i help him move about 8 months ago.
Despite the awful drive (100 miles of construction) it was a great night. Hope your ride
home was not too bad Paul/Cathy... traffic came to a dead stop for almost 1/2 hour but
after that was OK. I have to give credit to Michael McDermott for hanging in there feeling
as bad as he did and losing his voice all through the show. Wish you guys could have seen
him at full strength - he's really quite good. I've had a cold for 3 weeks and it was painful
to watch him struggle. Hope to see everyone again soon.

Well, it wasn't Naperville.....but like Jim said a while back, we're gonna need a BDS page pretty soon. So instead of starting a new topic, I'll throw it in here.....
I found this review of the show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC, and it pretty much says it all......
