Topic: Live solo in woke up dreaming...
Does anyone know what scale joe uses in the live version of woke up dreaming/highwater everywhere. He jumps in and out of it during the pent. jam stuff? Thanks!

I have heard a few live versions floating around the net. If you send me the file I could help you.
The diminished part?

It might be diminished...didnt try that. The rest of the song falls in E and he throws the classical note in there once in a while
It' s Diminished scale starting on C(4th string 10th fret) right up the scale (minor 3rd intervals), Descending it's a classic bebop phrase. That should get ya started
In Woke Up Dreaming its also diminished, but it starts on the A - You posted a version of High Water Everywhere - very similar riffing with the diminished in both - super classy.
Thank you!! Maybe if you get a chance you could tab it all out for me... :-D Ehh maybe Ill find the time!
