Topic: Dublin Show 8th July 2008 - Thanks for coming Joe!!

What an amazing show!! I've been a fan for a few years but never thought I'd get the chance to see Joe live in Ireland. The venue was probably quite a bit smaller than Joe is used to but it gave a real intimate atmosphere to the evening. I've rarely seen anyone put so much energy and passion into a performance, Joe seemed to be really enjoying himself and the audience were feeding off his energy.

Highlights for me were Sloe Gin, Asking Around for You (Joe sang a chorus without using the mic - that'll give you an idea of how small the venue was!) & Woke Up Dreaming (with the most awsome acoustic solo!!)

Thanks to Joe, the band and his management for coming to Ireland and please, please, please come again.... soon!!

PS - the support act Simon McBride was fantastic also!!

Lev - that's GREAT to hear.  We are so pleased that Joe came to Ireland for you and the rest of his LUCKY fans - old and new.

Welcome to his Forum.  If you'd like, we have an Introductions category where you can open another thread and tell us a bit about yourself.  Or, if you're comfortable hangin' out here, that's fine too.  We welcome you, either way.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Hmmmm....

So, he played a little Beatles music in Liverpool, a little Rory music in Ireland....

Does that mean we're gonna hear a little SRV music in Dallas?

Just wondering...   wink

Welcome to the forum Lev. I bet you're still on cloud nine! That was a really nice touch putting in a bit of Cradle Rock. A fine tribute from one great guitarist to another.
