As I mentioned before on this wonderful board, the best opening for Joe would be Albert Cummings or Stoney Curtis.
I see Stoney next Saturday in Schoeppingen Germany so Albert would be wonderful in the RAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since the first time I heard his music I was a fan. Like eva says he must come to Europe!
Like her i watch his tourcedule every week but NO EUROPE.

George , Eva , Michael and myself would be a great audience, I'm sure!

Musical kisses for all of you and real kisses for Bluesman! I won't forget my friend!

Actually,Albert will be crossing the pond on 7/26 to play the Drobak Blues Featival in Norway.

I'm IN!!!  Penciling it in....
Thanks, Jim !!

Great musicians have a language & vocabulary that transcends the usual barriers & touches us on a more primitive , basic & yet complex level....

...I'll always have London in my heart, and in my soul...

Re: Albert Cummings

Time to give Albert a bump, even though it is kind of spooky to see people referring to the invisible poster.

I received my signed copy of Albert live from Cathy this week and have just given it the first proper listen...wow! Albert rocks!!!

We've got to get him over here!! I wrote to the organizers of Bospop (Pinkpop) and the Tegelen festival where Cathy, Eva, Geko and I saw Walter Trout to suggest Albert for next year. No reply, no surprise. Maybe we need to start some concerted action?

Re: Albert Cummings

Well, we're still trying to get Albert to Europe, I think Andre is working on it too.

Meanwhile, here's a new clip for you, honest, down to earth music everyone here should enjoy!

Günter,

I really hope You and Eva get the chance to see Albert perform live. He puts on a great show and all he's concerned about is the music he plays. He's a man as comfortable talking to you with a beer in his hand as he is up on stage ripping into a song like "Barrel House Blues". My friends Jacque, Ken and I got a chance to visit with Albert before, during the break and for quite a time after the show back in September at the HOB in Chicago. Marvelous man and let me tell you, his song "Tell It Like It Is", fits Albert to a tee. Here's pictures from the night of the show:

Let me know if I can do anything to support your efforts guys ... I´d really love to see Albert play some more dates over here. It´s a shame he´s only coming to Finland!
