Topic: JB Review in The Times

Joe got a review in the Times online for the London gig.
Only got three stars out of five !! What do you have to do to get five stars ???

I've copied and pasted the address below - not sure if it will work as a link.

Ooooooohhhhhhhhh yes the link works.
Well that's todays item learned. I can relax now.

Re: JB Review in The Times

Seems that there's always going to be someone who wants to play down what the rest of us so obviously enjoy.....maybe they think it makes them a bit special to have an opinion that differs from the crowd. Personally I don't really care what a critic thinks.....I'll decide for myself thanks very much and for me, Joes performance at The Borderline was superb.

Re: JB Review in The Times

Interesting he didn't mention of the original songs that I am sure were played.

He probably would have said the same thing about SRV because half of his songs
were covers.

The good news is that the paper thought that the show was worth covering.

In any case I bet it was a hell of  a show.

Re: JB Review in The Times

I was at that show, and Joe, as he usually does, outperformed anybody else I have ever seen with his superfluous playing style.

I have read this review.

Understand that it is only one critics view, and that he is just trying to be objective, with a boss breathing down his neck. Then understand that he was probably the guy at the venue who was at the back chatting loudly with his buddies. Then you will know why everyone else saw a different, breathtaking show.

Bonamassa is:- To take your breath away, again and again.

Awesome, the Power of Joe.........
