Topic: Albert Castiglia's new CD and tour dates

I finally got a copy of "These are the Days" and it was well worth the wait. His voice is rich..When he does "Nightime is the Right Time" you can hear Ray Charles!  The songs are a mix of originals and wonderful covers. It's getting good air time at Sirius.

I've gushed often about this young man and for good reason. He is another of those talented, yet humble, musicans we all love. He has some dates outside of Florida and I hope some of you will make an effort to catch a show. It will only take 1 and you too will be a fan.

Re: Albert Castiglia's new CD and tour dates

I wanted to bump this up because Albert will be on this tour SOON. If he's near you, PLEASE go see him. I met him at the Blues fest in Ft. Lauderdale a few years back and loved his style. I bought  some CD's, loved them, and after Blues Review named him "One of the Ten To Watch" I sent him a congratulatory note. I got a very nice reply with in days. He's the kind of musican we all like, maybe his years as a social worker helped. I hope all this doesn't give you the impression that he can't stand on his talent alone, because that is certainly NOT the case! Remember he was Jr. Well's guitar player until his death. It's more a matter of feeling so many people out there are missing this gem. I promise a great time. Tell him I sent you!!

I'm still enjoying his new CD!!!!                               Cathy

I second the motion....based on the recommendation of a South Florida Pat Travers fan, I sought Albert out at an "all-star jam" at a local club.  Spoke to him afterwards to tell him how much we enjoyed his performance, told him I played guitar and he said "man, you shoulda told me, I'd have gotten you up on stage to play".  He then proceeded to tell me that he was coming to a club we frequent in PA, and when I told him we'd definitely come see him, he said "bring your gear and I'll have you sit in".  Well, I thought "I won't hold my breath", but I did and he got me up on stage for a few numbers late in the 2nd set.  Cathy was actually at this gig but unfortunately left early.  I've since gotten to play his personal guitar a few times at gigs.

He's plays in what seems to me to be a more traditional style, but he's got skills, and is a super-nice guy as well.  His previous CD "A Stone's Throw" has been stuck in my CD player for weeks at a time.  Just a great guy and a real smooth player.  I would definitely say to go see him and buy his stuff....it's GOOD.
