Topic: if you could play one song??

if there was one song that you could play on guitar perfectly...what would it be???

It would be Stevie ray Vaughan's version of Little Wing or Blues Deluxe for me

Re: if you could play one song??

Re: if you could play one song??

Probably would get a different answer the more I thought about it, but in this mellow Sunday morning mood it would be Asking Round For You.

..................but that's probably driven as well by the picture of Joe with hands crossed across his chest singing unaccompanied to a spellbound audience (Morecambe for me most recent time I think) although the guitar part is tinglesome...............

so Blues Deluxe or maybe Bridge to Better Days.
Or BB's The Thrill Is Gone, or JPs Black Dog.

Must stop thinking. That's more than one !!

I'm sticking with first choice for sheer overall pleasure. ARFY
There.
Done it smile

Re: if you could play one song??

As hard as it is to pick just one song, i think i would have to go with Just Got Paid live the Joe Bonamassa version. All 19 minutes of it when you include starship trooper at the end big_smile

I do have a tab for it and im working on it, but it'll be a few years at least anyway lol

Re: if you could play one song??

I think my choice of song would be Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.  I can play parts of the song but my vibrato is way off.

Lenny - SRV(El Mocambo Version)

Such a beautiful piece of music, and I am still mesmerised everytime I watch it.

With Joes music, Sloe Gin would be the one I would really love to play.

What an amazing song with so much emotion. That song said so much without one saying one word.

Do you know if there are tabs for the song? I really want to know that.

Re: if you could play one song??

All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix.

Re: if you could play one song??

Can't pick just one. Mean Street by Van Halen is definitely one I wish I could play and Black Star by Yngwie Malmsteen is another one.

Re: if you could play one song??

Well here's one on four strings.

Jack Bruce on the 1968 Wheels Of Fire live version of Spoonful.

Here's a peice of useless trivia for Fletcher regarding 'All Along The Watchtower'- Hendrix.
This is a cover of a cover.Hendrix watched Alan Bown at a gig in the UK, who were covering this track already and Hendrix liked their version a lot and told them he was going to give the track a go.How do I know ? Well my drummer , who was a session man in the Sixties , depped for their drummer for 9 months when he broke his leg.

All kidding aside,  the bass part on Marvin Gayes song "What's Going On?" (per Jamerson or Babbit) is intense.
