Topic: The Blues Band, at Haslemere Hall, this Friday, 4th July-Help needed!
Hi Everyone
I haven't posted anything for a time, as I've literally been out "on the street" putting up flyers and posters for the above mentioned gig in my home town of Haslemere, Surrey, UK.
You see not only am I a street person for Joe, but I'm also the street person for The Blues Band, plus any other unheard of blues groups and people who try play in my area. I go round putting up flyers and posters, in proper traditional places, but there's a guy who goes around tearing them down, so I go round putting them up again. I do it in the vain hope that just a few people will be interested and come along to the gigs that are on in Farnham, Haslemere and Cranleigh.
Anyhow, we are trying to fill Haslemere Hall, this Friday night. We have The Blues Band playing in our little country town. Ticket sales are down due to all sorts of reasons like the credit crunch, holidays, "haven't heard of them" syndrome etc.
You know, of course, that The Blues Band are five amazingly, awesome bluesmen Paul Jones, Tom McGuinness, Dave Kelly, Gary Fletcher and Rob Townsend. They are all musical geniuses.
