Topic: Winter Park CO-Blues from the Top

Here is a couple of pics from the festival.  Category 5 amplification backlined the amps, and we built a new rig for Joe as he was flying in for this one.  It was simple but effective.
One category 5 JB 100, one pristine Juballe from my collection, and two category 5 4 x 12's with ev12ls built to Joes specs.  They each ran a 4 x 12 in 4 ohm mode.  The tone was big and thick.

Great festival, with Johnny WInter, Jimmy THackery, Bob Margolin, Zac Harmon, Larry Gardner, and a few more lesser know, but great guitar slingers.

Wow, very cool. Joe's running a pretty simple set up there....hardly anything on the floor!

I like the settings on the Cat5. Both volumes at 9.5.

What did you expect to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wild beasts sweeping majestically over the fields?

Nice job accomadating the bands needs on the fly. I was talking to Dave as they were packing up at Monterey and asked, what all goes on the flight? he replied a few guitars, the effects, and an overnight bag. No more no less. Looked like Joe didn't even pack his dress slacks. I assume Joe and Dave flew straight to Cleveland from Co. and on to Portland. The road goes on forever.

Not even a tubescreamer! I guess between the cat 5 and the marshall, a TS really is unnecessary.
When Joe was in Cocoa, he had a similar pedal setup, but with the TS. But for that show, he had 2 rental jcm2000s (no Cat5).

Yeah, it seems like the JCM2000s are what Joe's using as far as rental gear when he doesn't want to bring everything out of the studio. He was using the same setup in Doheny. 2 JCM2000's, Vox wah, Boss Delay, amp switcher, and I believe he did have his Tubescreamer with him there.

That was pretty cool of you guys to set that up for Joe though Don.
