Topic: Rock n Blues pubs/clubs in Berlin?

Hi folks.

I know we have a few German fans on here. I'm heading to Berlin for a few days at the end of this week, and very excited about it I am too in a city of so much culture. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good rock or blues pubs/clubs that would be worth a visit in the evenings?

Any suggestions appreicated...

I´m from south Germany and don´t know too much about the Blues scene in Berlin - but are you only staying in Berlin or are you also visiting other cities?! The Downtown Blues Club in Hamburg is probably the most famous Blues club in Germany - and you could also visit Issy there wink.

I read in the internet that the Roadhouse Club (adress is: Genter Str. 65) has Blues Jam sessions every Tuesday starting at 8 pm and the BeBop Bar (Berlin Kreuzberg, Willibald Alexis-Str.40) has a Jam session every Sunday staring at 9 pm - I can´t tell you if the clubs are good or not, because I´ve never been there, but that´s what I found ....
But you can also just wander around in Berlin and you´ll find a good place - Berlin is a cool city for sure cool !

Thanks for your response Eva. I did think that you were from a place far from Berlin from your Clapton post.

I shall look out for those two places, although I won't be there on either a Tuesday or a Sunday. If I find anywhere else I shall report back!

Here's an FYI..The Blues Foundation lists Blues Societies and they in turn often have links to the clubs in their area. When I started traveling with my sister-in-law for her job, I used this to find music in the area. I hope it helps. Cathy
