Yeah that was great!..wish he had kept the Gibson...had it on loan, maybe he didnt want to pay the 6 large for it...it and he sounded amazing in S.F. the week before this youtube video was shot....cant say enough great things about Davy, just a very humble man

I'm "this close" to deciding to see BDS open for JB at the Dallas HOB in Sept.....I'm standing on the corner of "Can't Afford It" and "Don't Give a Damn".....and that little devil on me shoulder keeps whisperin' "you can always get more money..."  Or maybe that's an angel.....

Trouble is, if I do go, I'm gonna wanna go to Austin the next day to see BDS at Austin City Limits, and Antone's.....

That would give me a chance to see SRV's statue though.....hmmmmm.....decisions, decisions.....

The one thought I can't shake, Jeff, is this:  I'da never gone on the BluesCruise if I'da let logic get in the way of a gut feeling.  That was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.....

Hey Dave...thanks!  Lookin' forward to meeting you too!! 

Not sure what the best course of action is gonna be for me yet.  I had thought I'd fly into Dallas, see the HOB show, then rent a car to drive to Austin (looks to be about a 3 hour drive...), then back to Dallas to fly out.  But I think I'd be better off reversing that, since I'll be spending more time in Austin.  And I'll get a room there.....a shower might be nice at some point.....

The tricky part is gonna be seeing the HOB show, driving to Austin, and then finding the time to get any sleep before the ACL festival!!  Wouldn't give it a second thought 20 years ago, but I gotta tell ya man, this Summer of Love tour I'm on is kickin' my arse!!!

Seems a little funny plannin' a trip to see JB on a BDS thread!  (Hi Joe!!)  I'll email you when I get this sorted out, or you can drop me a line anytime.....

It's not necessary to have relatives EVERYWHERE, just in all the RIGHT places Jim!!!  Not sure if I can REALLY make this trip - but, it is certainly worth a SERIOUS ponder!!!  All of the above listed reasons why I SHOULD go certainly make for a STRONG argument!!

Man, that gig is going to be special for you guys. Please take some video for us to view on this side of the pond. We aare soooo jealous. Davey is going to be like, OMG, I can't believe I'm playing on the same bill as you, never mind talking to you - remember that guy in the audience on the Paul Jones show! I do hope they jam together on stage for you all. It's so great to see how Joe has transcended over the last couple of years and how BDS have blossomed partly as a result of their fans on this web forum. Those guys have got so much to talk about - Adam with Carmine about Pino Paladino, Ross and Bogie about John Bonham, Davey and Joe about everybody, Rick might feel a bit left out I guess, but I'm sure they and the audience are in for a real feast of the blues, just the way we all like it - I can feel the hairs on the back of my neck crawling. what a shame I can't get over there. Just one more word - ENJOY!
