We didn't talk about 'us' Marianne, the boys have other things on their minds.
My final week's update will have to wait till I'm back home on Sunday...getting ready to leave a rainy Indy and fly to Philly this afternoon, where Cathy will be meeting me at the airport. We'll be spending our last night together at a hotel downtown before heading for Newark tomorrow, where my plane departs at 5:15 pm back to Amsterdam.
All I can say right now is that these last three weeks have been the most sustained and glorious period of happiness that I can remember, most particularly when I compare the time to where my head has been for most of the last year.
I am a very lucky man. Thank you, universe!

George, I'm glad you had a wonderful trip. It was a pleasure speaking to you and your happiness came over the phone line... I was however concerned if you were ever going to stop to catch a breath or come up for air...:D Do you let Cathy get a word in edgewise? 
Just teasing..you're story is such a good one...fate and good people! Anyway, I wish I could have met you, especially since you are passing through the Philly area. I haven't been posting much lately, but I just have to tell you that I have enjoyed this thread so much. You two are just too cute and I'm so happy that you finally got together and had such a great time. I was going to say that I hate to see it come to an end, but I have a feeling this isn't the end. So, I'm just going to stay tuned....
The only regret I have is that I haven't met either of you yet, but that can always change. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us and Good luck you two.

Just want to let you all know that George returned safe back home!
He just phoned me and told it were 3 fantastic weeks, the best ever. He didn't sleep at the plane and was very tired.

Thanks to all who followed George's American Adventures and wrote such sweet comments. We did have a blast!! He is as kind and smart as he appears. I won't speak for him, but I can say that his joy at meeting all his Bonabuddys was real. And he also got a charge out of talking to many of you on the phone. You are all VERY special people!!! This forum has magical powers...many of you already know that! The secret is to remain pure at heart...when you give love and kindness..it comes back to you.

I've not yet met a forum friend that I didn't like. My invite to you all remains opened. Michael and George have both survived time Deep in the Forest, and I hope they will return. Next..My trip to Amsterdam, a concert with some forum friends and then off to see my nephew play baseball in Belgium. Cathy

Totally understandable my friend and you were doing what a father should be doing when a crisis hits your family. I have been there before & when your kids are sick or injured it's the most ungodly helpless feeling & you wish you could trade places with them to take away their pain..... I just hope all is well & am sending my love & prayers in your family's direction. Keep us posted.....Pete
