Topic: James Cotton at the Coach House 6/22

I got a call from Libby (whom I met up with at Doheny) this afternoon and she told me that her husband Steve had an extra ticket to see James Cotton the Coach House next Sunday here in Orange County. I'm going to have to see when I'm working, but I'm doing all I can to find out when so I can make arrangements! So excited!

Haha well alright, apparently no James Cotton fans here! Just thought I'd share.

Re: James Cotton at the Coach House 6/22

I'm a JAMES COTTON FAN, DANNY!  Oh, that's right..... you already KNEW that.  That's why I got tickets for the show!!!

So - for the rest of you, what Danny didn't make clear is that the REASON Steve and I have the extra ticket is because I can't go (because I'll be ELSEWHERE that evening).  So - we thought, hmmmm..... now, who do we know who LOVES the blues as much as we do, and would like to go to this show in Libby's place....?????  DANNY!!!  We both thought of Danny at the same time and agreed that he would enjoy himself thoroughly!

So, come on now, the rest of you Forum members and Blues Fans - lend me a hand here ...... please tell our young Danny a thing or two about Mr. James Cotton and why this will be an awesome opportunity for him to see one of the GREATEST harp players on the planet.  Danny's already excited, he just wants someone to be excited WITH him!!!

This also provides me a good opportunity to explain the signature which Danny has adopted these past few weeks....... 'Little Big Cheese'...........................

One night, when Danny and I were 'chatting', he referred to one of the more senior forum members as a "Big Cheese".  It tickled me that someone of Danny's generation would use such a charming and somewhat antiquated term.  I also found it quite charming that Danny aspires to BE a "Big Cheese" on our beloved Forum.  So, with that in mind, and because I had already nicknamed him 'Little Big Man' (because he's 17 and about 6'3"), it wasn't much of a stretch for me to immediately dub him "Little Big Cheese".  He seemed to like it very much, and has been using it as a signature ever since...... just in case you were wondering...... now you know.
