Topic: Looking to sell 2 tix - 10/31, Ram's Head, Annapolis, MD - face

I bought the tickets before I'd registered for classes and now I have a 4 hour class that night that I cannot miss.  Just looking to recoup what I paid (face plus s.c.).  I think the show is sold out.  My seats are: Table 111, Seats 3 and 4

skip class....

I saw your post and immediately I started thinking of how to make the 1500 mile trip so I could use the tickets. Then I realized how silly that was. I was going to figure out how to spend a few thousand so $65 worth of tickets wouldn't be wasted! The point is, with just a little work you could rationalize skipping a class if I could damn near rationalize that trip....

If you have to, I'm sure Jane H. can find someone that can use them.

John, what do you usually pay that you think $30 a piece is expensive?  That seems to be pretty near the going rate for a club show.  Now, an outdoor Ribfest is another story...

And Phil!  Shame on you...telling the kid to skip class!  They don't usually need any encouragement to do just that!  But your fantasy 1500 mile road trip did make me laugh.

I considered it...I think I'm gonna skip this round.  I'm really sick of seated shows, and it seems like thats all he ever plays in the DC area anymore.  I may end up at the Blues Alley shows at some point tho. It's also on Halloween, and I think we'll be having a party at my new house...

I think I'll go see Los Lonely Boys at the Rams Head in Baltimore as well as the Black Crowes (who may be the best rock n roll band on the planet right now). I saw them for the 10th and 11th times in DC last weekend...unreal. Every night is a completely new set...

Yeah, I thought about skipping class...thought hard, but it'll probably be the day of my midterm and that's 50% of my grade.  The fact that he's doing 8 sets at Blues Alley cinched it for me.

CarlijMD replied and expressed an interest, so I think they're gone unless I hear otherwise.

RE: price...the Ram's Head is always the most expensive stop in the DC area.  You can expect to pay another $5-10 for any act that plays there and also does the Birchmere or State Theater, etc.  But, I do like the venue--very intimate...it's nice to be seated at some shows, but you do need to be in the mood for it.

Chris - I had to sell my tix for the Monday Crowes 9:30 club show as well.  Again, class.  It's been killing me selling these tickets.  But, I work full time and just started a Masters program part time, so I don't have time to hit as many shows anymore.  I heard the Crowes were awesome, but I did just see them at AllGood, so I figured I may as well act like a grown up, be responsible and go to class.
