Oh cool - please write a review afterwards and tell us how you liked the show. Andre, Geko, George (and maybe Cathy??) and me are going to see him at the Rockpalast venue where Joe´s DVD was filmed in September ...
Do you have any albums and if yes, which one can you recommend?!

Hope you two have a great evening tonight! smile

Hi-

I need to run at this time, but I will write my review later today.  By the way, the show was "THE BOMB!!!" smile.  Also, he only has one album that is called "Torch". He is working on a second album, but doesn't know when it will come out.

Take care-

Dean

Re: Devon Allman’s HONEYTRIBE

HI-

I found a question in an interview that was ask to Joe.

Q. You have also played on a track on the 'Torch' album by Devon Allman's Honeytribe. How did that come about?

A. I've known Devon Allman since my days in Bloodline, as he used to open for us as a kid. So he called me up one day and asked would I like to play on his album, as he was in Memphis at the same time as me for the International Blues Challenge. And he also had booked the same Ardent studios, the same room and same equipment on which I did Bloodline. So I said, yeah, awesome. I hadn't seen the guys for about 10 to 12 years, and they were really good, and took me back to the time in America when Cry of Love, The Arc Angels and Brother Cane, and Bloodline were in vogue.

Re: Devon Allman’s HONEYTRIBE

Thanks for the information and the little interview-bit Dean - and thanks for the photo Jim! smile

I think I´ll definitely get the album (if Joe plays on it ... wink) as Andre has told me before that he likes it. But I guess I´ll have to wait until next month as I just spend my whole cash on Joe tickets! lol

Eva

P.S.: Rocket, please keep us up to date when you have seen them play live.

Re: Devon Allman’s HONEYTRIBE

Hi-

I downloaded a few pics to show his huge heart that Devon Allman has with kids.

Dean

PS. I don't think you can see from these pictures that Devon is playing a Les Paul and there is a signature on his guitar.

It says  To Devon
           Keep Rockin
            Les Paul

Rocket,

George Potsos (bass player) is no longer with the band. I can't remember who Devon said is the new bass player, but he is listed on the myspace page. I saw Devon this past April, playing to a crowd (if you can call it a crowd) of about 40 people. The sound system and lighting were terrible, not due to Devon's fault, as this was a bar that contracted that out. I was able to get a couple of photos of that show.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/photogal19 … 23653868/. The bass player shown is not his regular, new guy, but a friend sitting in.

I will see Devon again in July when he plays the Schwag festival at a campground about an hour away from me.

Here are the Honeytribe photos from the Big Muddy Blues Festival in St. Louis last Sept.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/photogal19 … 593200649/ I am still hoping that Joe will get booked for this. It is a great event and would give him so much exposure in the St. Louis area. I met people from all across the country who came to the festival.

Dean mentioned Devon's autographed Les Paul, here is a photo of it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/photogal19 … 593200649/

If Honeytribe is playing anywhere near you, I highly recommend seeing a show! You won't be disappointed. smile

Very, very cute pictures Dean!

If Nico, Tallan and Florian´s little son Moritz form a band together later, I consider the future of Blues Rock saved! smile
