Topic: Journey playing Newcastle, June 28th

Hi folks,  I was just wondering if anyone else is going to this gig at the Radio Metro Arena thingy. I have actually never been to Newcastle before and we'll be staying over. Maybe Vicky, you might have a few suggestions about places of interest that we could check out on Sunday?

Thanks.....Tripsy  smile

Re: Journey playing Newcastle, June 28th

Hi Tripsy - you could check out the Sage in Gateshead. That's where Joe is playing on November 10th.

Sorry I don't really have any suggestions other than a strole around the city centre.

Seeing your name has reminded me that there are some guys on the Aynsley Lister forum who have been admiring your Chris Duarte videos. Have a look at this link http://www.aynsleylister.co.uk/forums/viewthread/61/

I also put a link elsewhere on the AL forum to your excellent Trower/Lister pictures. I hope that is ok, they deserve to be seen!
Enjoy Newcastle and hope you get more help from the others...

Re: Journey playing Newcastle, June 28th

Hi Duncan,

I've just had a look at the AL forum and I see that Eldo is there. I met him at the Chris Duarte gig in London, very nice chap. Been swapping 'have you heards'. Told him about Lance Lopez and of course Joe. I don't mind at all you giving a link to my piccies, they're meant to be shared.

This forum is the only one I am part of and I find it hard sometimes to find time for it so I don't intend to join any more at the mo.

I checked out the Sage website but Sunday 29th's offering is a brass band concert. Not really my cup of tea!!. The venue looks great though.

Thanks...Tripsy

I'm a member on several others (same username) but I have to say the Joe Bonamassa one is by far the best!

Hope to see you at a gig sometime Tripsy. Are you going to Carlisle blues fest in November?

Someone please help this lady with some Newcastle suggestions!

Re: Journey playing Newcastle, June 28th

Thanks for your plea Duncan but looks like we might have to drive straight back after the gig now. Hey It's only 100 miles! Hubby drives, I sleep. sounds fair to me smile.

Don't know about the festival. Haven't had a looksee as to who's on.

I'm sure we'll bump into each other one day! Take care.........Tripsy smile
