Topic: Quote From Blues Wax about Joe by Walter Trout
Just saw this in the latest BluesWax Ezine about Walter's new CD with Joe as a guest on one the tracks:
BluesWax: And did you have anything else you wanted to say about Joe Bonamassa and "Clouds on the Horizon"?
Walter Trout: Well, he's the future. It was really cool for me to go back and bring these guys on that I played with in the 1970s and '80s, but Joe is the future. What I love about him is he is very aware of and has immersed himself in the tradition, but he is carrying it on and trying to take it in new directions. That's something that I've always tried to do. I just think he's got a big career ahead of him. He's still a kid and he's so focused on his music. When I look at him I kind of see myself at that age, but I wish I had been that focused and not so concerned with partying. He's totally moving in the direction of becoming a better musician everyday. He's a true artist that guy. I was really happy to have him on there.
