Topic: The Who

I was watching CSI with my 22 year old daughter last night and Roger Daltry was on the show. It was funny, because he played a character that changed identities using make-up techniques like those used on Mission Impossible. The funny part was, at one point, I said "Hey, that guy looks like Roger Daltry". When he took the rest of his "mask" off, it WAS Roger Daltry.
Neat touch, IMO, since the show uses "Who Are You" during opening credits.
I guess I'm doing a half-as**ed job, because my younger daughter had no idea who Roger Daltry is (the older daughter knows, which is why I say "half", rather than complete *ss).
Anyway, searched YouTube so she'd know EXACTLY who Roger Daltry is and found this.
Thought I'd share:

Re: The Who

Very cool, I don't normally watch TV but had I known he'd be on that show, I would have watched it.  He's actually a pretty good actor.  Years ago we saw him at the theater at Madison Square Garden play Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.  He did a fantastic job!

Great You Tube clip too, thanks for posting. wink

Re: The Who

CSI is one of my favorite shows. Too bad Jorja Fox and what's his name (the black guy) are not on the show anymore. And I'm hearing that William Peterson may not be on there much longer. But it's still awesome.

Re: The Who

Even from our seats in the nosebleed section a year and a half ago, I had NO PROBLEM at all feeling the TREMENDOUS ENERGY AND PRESENCE that IS Roger Daltry - not to mention he's still a very handsome guy!!!  Pete, of course, can still do the "jump", and all of his fancy stage trickery!!!  'Twas great to see that they hadn't lost IT.

Re: The Who

I liked your take of "I must not be doing a good job." Because she didn't know who Roger Daltry was. It's like hearing, " I didn't know Paul Mcartney was in a band before Wings!"

"Is it the new blues mobile or what?"                                                                                                                                                                                                     "Fix the cigarette lighter."

Yes Geoff,
I believe and correct me if I'm wrong that the name of Paul Mcartneys "back-up" band before Wings was was called "the Beatles".
