Thanks for the update my adolescents!
My puberty was a long time ago but one of the best times of my live too.
NEVER STOP TO FEEL LIKE THAT, most people loose their childhood when they grow up, I'm happy I never did..............( I hope)!!
So my friends; Enjoy all!!!!! You both deserve it, actually everybody does but some have to work......
George no news from Ajax and WHU. Ryan Babel injured his ankle on the training and can't go to the European Championship. Sad for him and us.
Last weekend I was companion of the Libyan National Soccer Team under 17 years old for 3 days and it was just great, very nice people (Bush won't agree of course, anyone who doesn't do what he thinks is an enemy!.
The invitation to come to Tripoly for a visit next year I got already.
So you see again:
Music and sports fraternize; politics and religion do the opposite!!

It´s so nice to hear all your stories - it all sounds like "it´s meant to be" !
You´re two adult cuties!!

Dear Diary,
Well Libby, guess what? Cathy's band also played Dixie Chicken today.
We drove to Baltimore in heavy rain. As we arrived at Fells Point, the old part of the harbor with cobblestone streets and lots of colorful little (touristy) shops, Cathy Andretti started exercising her rich vocabulary of expletives about the horrors of finding a parking space anywhere nearby. The new-style laid-back and extremely relaxed George just said, 'Relax babe, it's cool, we'll be alright.' The next moment a car pulled out of a space no more than 30 feet from the door of the Cat's Eye Pub, our destination. Then the rain stopped. The rest of the afternoon and evening was lovely again. Somebody's watching for sure.

Nothin' but Trouble are a versatile and wonderful little band who would go down a storm as openers for Joe at his Wilmington show. Anyone who gets Blues Review will get a track of theirs (about the price of gas) on the free cd with the forthcoming issue. Highly recommended.
I was introduced to numerous old friends and acquaintances as 'George from Amsterdam'. If I had a dollar for each time I was asked if I had any black hash, I could have bought a couple of beers - and these were all middle-aged people!
Cathy and I were also approached by several people because of the Joe t-shirts we were wearing! I handed out several cards and told people that there were still tickets available for the second Birchmere show. The street team never rests.
A lovely soak in the bewitching tub ended yet another grand day. My cup truly runneth over.
Cathy & George .... So glad your having fun together and doing so much , Albert Cummings and Nothin' But Trouble Live and Sightseeing around Picturesque Maryland and Soaking away the days thoughts in THE HOT TUB UNDER THE STARS , Life is Wonderful Sometimes ....... But i feel it's gonna get better for you two and go right off the scale when you're both Standing in Front of Joe and The Boys at The Birchmere Later this week ,
and this up and coming set will Quite Literally Blow Both your Emotions Wide Open , Wish i was there for this one .... So i'll raise a glass to you both for going for this and may you have all the fun you can pack into your lives
Best of Luck My BonaBuddies
............................... Michael
PS ...... Did you tell George That's No Hot tub , That's a Cauldron (of Love ) .... Cook Him Baby
Saturday P.S.
Cathy has a favorite expression, one that I have kind of adopted too. Imagine our mutual coinkydink gobs smacking in unison as we spied this on our walk around Fells Point!
We had to immediately buy a his and hers, of course!

(Yes Michael, I had noticed the pile of kindling under the cauldron, but hey, in for a penny....)
Whatta coinkydink, George...that's my GF's favorite expression too! ("Bite Me", or occassionally the Olde English "Biteth Me!"). Sounds like you two are having a great time. Look forward to meeting you at the Birchmere nex Sun.

Roy this is for you. I'm moving this topic to off topics till it is retired.
Roy there is no possible way that I can keep an eye on you alone. There is just way too much information for me to digest in between the day job and the hobby. I do get a heads up occasionally about something that might need attending to.
You are right about my sense of humor. It is a little more cerebral than guttural but yes I do have one. Actually Phil has a pretty good sense of humor too. He I think is funnier than I. My wife agrees. If the truth were to be known Joe B is probably the funniest guy I know. He however is pretty serious about his business.
This forum is his business and he has asked Phil and me to help keep it presentable for the casual fan that might venture here. The rules are pretty basic. There are no 1st amendment rights here. We try to keep things friendly welcoming and informative.
Now Joe hasn’t asked me to keep an eye on you but I have asked Phil to keep one on you since I will be going on vacation. I hope nothing causes him to lose his sense of humor.

...and currently I don't have as much free time as Jim, so I might not be as nurturing with my moderation.

I is here, I is stewed, and I is busy destroying evidence....that ol' witch ain't ever gonna suck the life out of any other poor ol' city boy.
Uh, Cathy would like me to reassure readers that she is, in fact, alive and well but that she simply hasn't been able to post lately because she can't get at the pc due to yours truly hogging it.
Sunday-Monday
Dear Diary,
Not a lot to report, two quiet days at the homestead, a couple of local excursions, watching movies (I'd like to highly recommend 'Saving Grace') and talking to friends and family on the phone. Time is passing far too quickly. Hot tubs are horribly addictive. Only five days to showtime.
Tuesday-Wednesday
Dear Diary,
Not even the weather gods can spoil my good mood, though they're trying. We've had awesome amounts of rain coming down periodically yesterday and today, with very local mini-tornadoes not too far away from here. No cauldron last night, my nocturnal dip got washed out.
As a result, I've seen three movies I missed first time around -
I am Legend - we were both disappointed, could have been so much better.
Charlie Wilson's War - entertaining in a non-demanding way. Cathy likes Tom Hanks; I LIKE Julia Roberts.
Saving Grace - what a cracking gem of a movie!! If you haven't seen this, do yourself a favor and go get it. Several scenes had me falling off the sofa!
I've also now had phone contact with Jane, Shred and Pittsburgh Jeff - the list grows! Now looking forward to Sunday, my (and Cathy's) fifth Joe show!!!
GUYS - PLEASE BRING T-SHIRTS!!!!
Finally, today saw one of the major highlights of my trip so far - the publication at long last of 'La Novella Magnifica', aka The Doheny Postzilla. Libbers, you're simply too much! We are not worthy of such talent in our midst.

Haha, that could also be my words describing the first two movies (only if I were able to express it that good of course ) - that sounds like I´ll have to watch "Saving Grace" .
Counting the days with you .... 3, 2, 1 - JOE !

The weather gods conspired once again to rob me of my cauldron time for the second day running. My disappointment was somewhat tempered by the wonderful pork and sauerkraut that Cathy made - in case anyone is interested, the secret ingredient for great sauerkraut is carroway seed!
Weather permitting, we're meant to be dining 'down by the river' tonight. Meanwhile, the great cd-burnathon continues.....
Sorry, but you topic was not about Joe, so did not need to be in general topics. Glad you're having a good time though
