Excellent Michael.
I'll be spending this weekend with Warren up in Hunter Mountain(my 4th year in a row).

Re: Warren Haynes / Cortez the Killer

I've watched that DVD "Dave Matthews Band - Live in Central Park". At one point in Warrens solo it looks like Dave gets a big smile on his face and says "Amazing"!

Only a little over a month to go until I go see Gov't Mule @ the historic Mountain Winery in Saratoga. The band is playing for 2 nights so I hope they may be out and about in town. The last time they played Santa Cruz, CA., I met Matt Abts walking around out on the wharf and then later Andy Hess was walking back to the tour bus and came up to me and started a conversation! I've also met and talked to Warren and the late, great Allen Woody. Really nice, down to earth guys. Being a former keyboard player myself, I'd like to meet Danny Louis.

Maybe we should go see them in Las Vegas, too!

Mule...EASILY one of my all time favorite bands.  I always catch their shows and it's always a good time.

I almost hate saying this but that version is better than ol' Neil himself!

killer tune.

Re: Warren Haynes / Cortez the Killer

Gov't Mule is one of the greatest bands of all time!!  I just returned from seeing them at the McDowell Mountain Music festival...it was so incredible.  I also just got the Mule Tracks from the shows in New Orleans from 5/2 and 5/3 and I highly recommend.  He has some fabulous guests.  The 1st night is 3 CD's long!  I became a Grace Potter and the Nocturnals fan from seeing them open for Mule.  If you haven't seen any of their collaborative efforts, please take the time to take a listen.  Grace + Warren = SMOKIN HOT!! As it has been said before...LEATHAL COMBO  They did Nutbush City Limit and Whole Lotta Love....I can't find the links but if you are interested, CarljMD might even send them to you!

here is a video I took of Grace with Mule doing Take me To the River @ MMMF

here it is again when Warren and Grace hosted The Jammy's
