Topic: Tab Benoit @ State Theatre - Falls Church, VA

Saw Tab for the 5th time on Friday.  What a great show it was.  I love Tab...one of the best live shows out there.  Started at 9:00 and ended around 12:30.  This was only the second solo show I've seen of his.  Saw him at festivals, and then twice with Jimmy Thackery on the fantastic Whiskey Store tour (top 10 show of all time), so it was nice to see him just do his thing.  His drum solo was not also an unexpected surprise, but also really really well done.  He took about 10 requests, and he blew away my friends that had not seen him before.

I guess this is less of a review then a recommendation to all not to miss him when he comes around.

Chris,
I was there also, sitting at the table behind the soundboard. What a great show, after the show Tab was out front talking to about ten people for about 2hrs. I will be seeing Tab at the Rams Head Tavern in a couple of weeks,i was lucky to get a table up front next to the stage. Bob

I saw Tab at the back stage at Crossraods this past year. I've been a fan ever since.
Great sense of humor, as well. He talked about being relegated to the "back porch" and hoped he'd be invited through the "front door" at the next event.
Boy, he certainly deserves it.

Yeah Bob.  I'm pretty sure I saw you there, but not sure.  I was going to go to the tavern, but no good seats left when i saw.  I am pretty picky.  I'm a stander anyways, so I was happy he was playing at the State.
