HOPEFULLY and I mean hopefully Lance shows up this time in Nyack, NY on Friday night.....he's also playing in Pear River on Saturday and at BB King's on Sunday.
Any word on his latest escapades? Is he showing up for gigs these days? Pittsburg Jeff....you'll know!!!
I don't wanna drive 2 hours for the crappy food again!!!!
i wouldnt just assume he doesnt ever show up for gigs based on one time right afgter he relocated he wasnt at a show.

OK Mike and anyone else in NY area. Looks like it's a go. Here's the e mail I just got from my friend in NY who is in constant contact with Lance.
" Just spoke to him on the phone 10 minutes ago but he had to run and said he'll call me back. His van broke down in jersey (water pump) and he was going to pick it up. He is supposed to open for Cornell Dupree on May 14th at BB Kings, so I am gonna put in for the 15th off so I can enjoy a night out in Manhattan. Dont know about any other shows but I will let you know as I find out."
So there you have it. Double L's on the loose in the big apple. Mike you better go and take lots of pics/video.

So it sounds like he'll be there.....I'm still calling before we go, but it sounds better than last time!!!

if lance lopez comes anywhere near the midwest i am there that is who i have to see. shame it isnt happening. lance and wes jeans need to tour together.
Made our way down to Nyack, NY last night and was treated to a NO COVER show of two long sets of Lance Lopez. All I can say is the dude can absolutely play the ever lovin' hell out of his axes....Can't remember the whole set list, but songs included were a great cover of Cheap Sunglasses on a Flying V, Down at the House of Blues, Spanish Castle Magic(which was the highlight song of the night to me) and a bunch of others. A category 5 hurricane on the guitar and a hell of a nice guy to boot....glad I got to see him and would highly recommend checking him out!!

You lucky SOB. Tell me more. I assume you introduced yourself as a JB regular. Did you mention me? Did he mention any future plans? like maybe touring the East Coast, Pittsburgh. maybe.....

Jeff...I did not even talk to him....this other guy had his ear and wouldn't let up....you could tell Lance was getting annoyed, but then he just walked away to get something to eat....we too, had to eat something badly. We ate right next to him, but I didn't want to be rude and interrupt his dinner. After the show we left...the food didn't react too well w/ my buddy....that sucked, cause I wanted to have him sign all my discs and I wanted to mention your name....no luck....sometimes I think I'd be better off going to these shows solo!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry Jeff.....but it was an amazing display of axetrodinary capability...and he seems like a REAL nice guy, too

Hope he makes it over to the UK in the future. I only got into him quite recently through Grooveyard records , really like his style. I have Wall of Soul and Higher Ground. What other albums can you guys recommend?

He in my honest narrow minded opinion is like Joe. Not a bad release yet. Can't go wrong.

I would agree...they are all worth owning....I am learning w/ some of these artists that get it while it's available
