His newest album Revival is his best solo effort ever, and several of the songs rival his best CCR stuff. He's amazing. One of my favorite songwriters, and not a bad guitar player either.

Yeah. I have got 3 CDs with John and revival must be my favorite. I love songs like Long dark night , Creedence song and Broken down cowboy. He sure is a good song writer.

And he sure can play guitar.

FOGERTY IS INCREDIBLE!!! he is so amazing to see live!!!  he is every bit as good now as he was back in his hey day.  A real talent, very much unique, and he has the energy of a 14 year old.  SO JEALOUS!!  have fun, sing loud, dance until the night is done!  LONG LIVE FOGERTY!!  (and come back to Kansas City soon!!)

Re: Mr. John fogerty

John Fogerty was top of the bill at the festival where I first saw Joe last year. I enjoyed his set and was mightily impressed by his appearance and energy, considering that he's older than I am. But......the songs were exact replicas of the singles of yesteryear, note perfect and all single length.

I've come to realize that I want more from live music than a reproduction of a studio single. I want adventure, I like to see the performer(s) take some risks, I don't need perfection. That's what I missed with Fogerty, though in fairness I was so blown away by Joe that nobody else could have made a major impact on me that day!
