Re: music in film

Another of my all time favourite movies with fantastic music is "Risky Business" with Tom Cruise. The top score is done by Tangerine Dream, and also features Mannish Boy(I'm a man) by Muddy Waters, In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins, Old time rock and roll by Bob Seger amongst others.

My favourite song off the soundtrack though is Jeff Beck's - The Pump, off his "There and Back" album. Quite possibly the best cruising song ever IMHO!! Just something about the way his guitar interacts with Jan Hammer's keyboards, just sends me every time. Been trying to find tabs for this to no avail, guess I'm just gonna have to get my ears on it!

"Porsche.......there is no substitute" cool

Paul:  If you can find it, (edited to read: it's on I-Tunes) you should check out Larry Carlton & Steve Lukather's live CD "No Substitutions" recorded in Japan, which features a very good, extended live version of "The Pump".  Luke is a big Jeff Beck fan, so I understand...and they do it justice.

I lived with "There And Back" for quite a few years when it first came out....Star Cycle still gives me chills.... smile
