Topic: We have to reorganize the Bonamassa section of music stores

I went to 3 stores in Philly and all had JB CD’s and DVD’s in the wrong place.  The Tower in Philadelphia didn’t even have the DVD out.  I went there to buy it and I couldn’t even find it, that’s bad considering I knew what I was looking for.   It was underneath in drawers with all the extras.  So even if the ones that were out were sold they never replaced them.  So I guess if you are near a record store please go in and make sure the JB stuff is out and organized.

good one Jane, thanks.  Would be awesome to see JB on the big screen.

49 views and only Jane posts.  I guess people would rather complain that Joe didnt shake their hand than actually try to help more his albums

Re: We have to reorganize the Bonamassa section of music stores

Hi Ballgame, I used to shop Tower in Concord, Ca. near where I live. I usually found most of Joe's stuff down below and proceed to shuffle Bon Jovi discs to make room for Joe's. Shopping @ Tower might be a moot point in the near future as they have filed their 2nd bankruptcy a week or two ago. Amazon has both DVD's, probably for a better price too. I really like that idea of pluggin' Joe in @ TV stores.

That's SOP for us. We also make it a point to ask for Joe stuff whether they have it out or not, just to raise awareness and it gives us a chance to educate the people working there. Once I was re-arranging their stuff and complaining about it when Janette walked up and pointed out to me that Joe's product was one shelf down from where I was working........ooops.

Re: We have to reorganize the Bonamassa section of music stores

Hey Ballgame-I've actually brought this subject up at least twice myself in the past about Joe's CD's in record stores.  In a weeks time, I did an inventory of Barnes and Noble, FYI, Best Buy, Borders and Tower. They all had a couple of CD's in stock. I never saw ANDY or SILT in any store, the feedback was, except for really big acts like the Beatles, etc. the back catalouge of most artists can be ordered over the internet. I know Barnes and Noble in my are did away with the Blues section to make room for DVD's and Best Buy condensed a huge section to make room for rap/hip-hop. They said it's a regional thing. (I'm close to Philly too) Joe is usually under Rock. I always shuffle Joe in front of Bon Jovi, as Jane nicely pointed out before, I can't spell!!!

BG,
That's nothing. I was in FYE at a mall in Joe's hometown and they didn't have the DVD. The new CD was hidden behind Bon Jovi's CD's - I moved it to its proper place behind Joe's name. Oh yeah, anyone that would like Joe's 2 CD SILT better get over there pretty soon cause I'm not gonna wait much longer before I decide to buy it - only $15.

Re: We have to reorganize the Bonamassa section of music stores

I remember reading once a quote from Joe that when he goes into a store, he finds his stuff and moves it to the front. I do that anywhere I find his CD's or DVD's.

BestBuy usually only has two possibly three cds - BD, HTCT and Y&M... I want the  others!

Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: We have to reorganize the Bonamassa section of music stores

I went out to buy You & Me this weekend.  First I looked at Borders.  It was listed as being in stock, but I couldn't find it in the blues section or the pop/rock section.  Then I went to Best Buy and first checked the blues section.  No luck.  Then I found one copy in the pop/rock section.  Whew....it was like a scavenger hunt.

Rozey, save your gas and just shop Amazon, They can fill all your JB shopping needs. Or just shop here @ the website. Or save a little extra dough for the next time Joe's in your area and buy @ the gig and don't be shy about asking for an autograph, he always comes through.

...speaking of good luck and Bloodline. Just recently, I found a used copy of Bloodline in a used cd store. It was filed under 'Heavy Metal' with a metal band called Bloodline.
