I liked PC when I was a kid, but now that I've heard some things he may have done off stage - I'm just indifferent.

Love him or hate him Phil Collins is a consumate proffessional musician and artist. Personally I can take him of leave him, depending on my mood, but the guy is a perfectionist and pulls great musicians around him when he performs. Probably the best performance I have ever seen from ANYONE is his DVD offering "Live and Loose from Paris", where he perform "in the round" on a central stage surrounded by the audience. Not an easy auditorium to work with, but he shows he has mastered it. The correography of the whole show just surpasses everything, at least I've ever seen. His timing on on the intro to "in the air" on this one just takes your breath away. The whole stage is worked, by every musician and there are some top notch sessions guys up there. If only other artists were as professional as PC and Joe, I'm sure we would all be very happy. I would recommend this album to anyone wanting to learn how to "work" an audience!
