This is going to cause a few hearts to flutter here!!! Great news, great scoop Libby!

Hey that's fantastic news for all concerned!!!

What a great show that is going to be - I'm sure some of you lucky Texan Bonamasses will be attending that event with great relish! I'd love to join you but not sure there are any direct flights!

As an after thought I hope there is a post concert discussion as to BDS supporting Joe on his RAH concert next year in London. That would bring some well needed exposure to the band on this side of the water!

I hope you get the chance to chat with Joe, he's the same kind of man to his fans, and we appreciate all the time he spends with us, and his schedule is a beast!

Now I would like to know if anyone can film this moment for us huge fans. I'd fly in for this any other time, but the money tree has nearly dried up.

Apparently, the quote from above, taken from the BDS site, needed a teeny tweak.  That tweak consists only of a clarification that the gig, during which BDS is scheduled to open for Joe, is NOT actually a PART of Austin City Limits, but, instead, will be happening at the House of Blues in DALLAS, just PRIOR to ACL.  They clarified that on their own website this morning and asked me to do the same thing here.  So, again, quoting from the BDS site, here is their updated statement:

"Wednesday 30th April - Slam to open for JOE BONAMASSA!   
We're excited to be able to confirm that we'll be opening for Joe ahead of our Austin City Limits show. The gig will be Sept 26th at House of Blues Dallas - ticket details to follow. We're big fans of Joe, and he and his fans have been great supporters to us, so this is fantastic news."

A subtle, but, nevertheless, important difference.  After all, Dallas, and Austin are about 200 miles and three hours apart.

Of course, the MOST important part remains the same  .......  and that is, that Joe Bonamassa will have the most EXCELLENT support of Back Door Slam.  Good news indeed, for those lucky enough to take it ALL in.  As for me, I'm just really happy to see it happen, for all parties concerned, whether or not I get to witness it in person.  Amen!!!

hey Roy, the opening band that opened for BDS in Det. was not the same as the Milwaukee venue.
