Topic: Nothin' But Trouble wins Pittsburgh's Battle of the Bands!!!

The band you all know as "my" band competed against 17 other bands tonight in a battle to represent the Pittsburgh Blues Society at the 2009 IBC in Memphis. This year they represented Baltimore, but their competetion isn't until Jan. 2009..It's SO nice to know this early!!  They finished with an acappella version of "John the Revelator" which got them a standing ovation. Cathy!  FANTASTIC!  That's GREAT news!  I'm happy for you and YOUR band.  I know they are like family to you.  My, you certainly have a LARGE family, don't you?  Like mine, I know it is ever-expanding.  Glad you're a part of mine.

Gee, today is turning out to be full of good news! Just found out NBT will be reviewed in the next Blues Review and be featured on their sampler CD!!! I hope it's a good review!! The song is "$2.89 a Gallon", which is quit clever. It's about the price of gas. When it was written that was a high price!!!   Proud, Cat  http://www.post-gazette.com/music/bluenotes/


I forgot to add a link for an article about the competition. Seems a local band was not happy that a band from out of the area won. I thought the response was excellent!
