Topic: BONAMASSA! His name Hard to remember? yes! Hard to say? yes!

I'm always having to repeat his name
to the people that haven't seen him..
Once they see him they don't
forget his name anymore..
Took me a few times too...

Re: BONAMASSA! His name Hard to remember? yes! Hard to say? yes!

Funny, I never thought it was that hard to remember. At least he doesn't have a name that's pronounced different from what it looks like - like the representative from Ohio: John Boehner.

2frogs-I've had the same experience more than once. I'm glad I now have the business cards, thanks to jim m.  Previous to this and if I was without paper and pen, I told people to remember Bon (like a bonfire) and Mass (like burning hell..kidding) and then put an "A" at the end of both words when they wrote it out.  It's a little iffy, cause you don't want them to think Bon Jovi and you don't want them to think Bono, so the cards are super helpful for remembering the spelling!!!  The name spells just like it sounds, except for whether it has 2 s's.  I think it's the 4 vowels that makes it sound harder than it is and it's not a common name!  I've only seen it once in an advertisement for a lawyer who practices in a nearby town.

Re: BONAMASSA! His name Hard to remember? yes! Hard to say? yes!

Too funny of a topic! Because a family friend of ours is always pronouncing his name "Bossanomo"!!! ... and then I scream the proper pronunciation everytime, and 5 seconds later, he screws it up again. I think Tabasco Habanero to the tongue everytime he messes up Joe's name would be fitting punishment!

The best of the blues new-breed you simply MUST hear: Joe Bonamassa, Lance Lopez, Eric Sardinas, Wes Jeans, Mark Cook, Mato Nanji (Indigenous), KWS (when he wants to), Eric Gales, Tommy Castro........more to come.

A couple years ago my then 10 year old nephew at first called him "Joe Buzzmama."  I got a kick out of that.

all my friends say - yeah - that Joe Bona-somethin' - ya know that guy you like....

It makes me think of the NFL fantasy commercials like TJ WhoseYourMama from the Bengals.
