Topic: New Los Lonely Boys album out July 1st....

It's gonna be called Forgiven. It's apparently produced by Steve Jordan. Will be very interested where this goes. Sacred had some brilliant songs, but a couple of songs were not up to par in my opinion. But this sounds like it's gonna be good. Steve did a brilliant job producing Buddy Guy's last album Bring Em In.

Well, apparently he just had them in a huge soundstage and had more of a live feel. I think they added a little organ and some extra percussion, but nothing near as what Sacred had.

Yep. I always thought the horns on My Way were just too much. Great song, crank it all the time, but I remember hearing live clips before Sacred was released and thinking they should've gotten it down to the three of them, maybe an organ included, but nothing else.

I wonder if they used Reese Wynans for the organ work again...i felt he added alot just by the style of playing he has...he knows how to blend in to make the band sound bigger...

are LLB still signed to Sony? I remember reading that their contract may have been in jeopardy after that incident involving Jojo and his girlfriend...

Lost interest in these guys after their sophomore effort, but in all fairness I'll give the new stuff a listen. The first CD was smokin' good.

Just them. One of them played organ, I think Jojo. I know he plays piano.

also a damn good guitarist too...but even more so an underrated vocalist i think...when I jammed with them here we did a version of "Superstition" and Jojo had all of Stevie's vocal parts down...i was very impressed...

Written right after getting off of Willie's bus....and how did they pull the ruse that they good Christian guys? I mean, I know Heaven and everything, but come on, these guys are apparently good guys, but they like to have a big ol' time I guarantee it. Nothing wrong with that, but it always seemed a bit mismatched.

i read in Guitar World when Henry was on the cover that he wrote Heaven after "taking some herbal refreshments" or something to that nature...
