Re: Motorcycles - anybody ride?

My husband's been wanting one, and at first I was against it.  But I have to admit, I'm kinda wanting one too now.  yikes  There are so many people here that ride and it looks great. So, it looks like over the summer I can come back to this thread and say "YES I RIDE!"  wink

The new HD Softails are really nice. theyre catching up to the choppers, and are more comfy than the old softails.  They have anti-vibration things in it.  Before, the motors were bolted right to the frame (no rubber mounts) and your teeth would chatter to no end.  BIG IMPROVEMENT. you gotta try it if you didn't like softails before.

I have a 1976 Honda CB 750 4-stroker. All original. 2nd owner. Real strong and dependable. I don't have time to be wrenching on a Harley, nor the money to buy one. Besides if your old enough you'll remember, "you meet the nicest people on a Honda"!!!

I said, "Honey, I don't know how to tell you this, but...I'm getting restless..."
What is that spozed to mean?  Well I either need a new girlfriend or a motorcycle.
If you know what's good for you, you'll go buy a motorcycle and leave those b******s alone.

Re: Motorcycles - anybody ride?

That's one very cool motorsickle Big Jeff. I love motorbikes (and it's not just the guys in leathers!). I hope you don't think I shouldn't be taking part in this topic of conversation but I ride a Gilera Runner 125 Scooter. I ride it to work in all weathers except snow and ice. I've been riding a scooter for 8 years now ever since my son Dax finished with his at the age of 17. Fortunately I haven't come off it yet although I have had a few hairy moments, usually through other drivers not seeing me. I think all car drivers should have a go on two wheels just so they could appreciate the possible danger facing riders.

Ride safely all y'all

I've riden BMWs - they're awesome - my only complaint is that they sound like you are riding a washer & dryer.
I still prefer harleys. I've riden some custom choppers too, and those are very bumpy. I give credit to anyone who can drive one of those over 100 miles and not get a numb toosh.

Re: Motorcycles - anybody ride?

Dragging this subject back up as I bought a cycle earlier this year, got my license and last weekend was the first good weekend weather for riding all weekend. I've got a 2003 (100th anniversary ed) Harley Wide Glide. Picked it up used with only 2,212 miles on it. Man am I loving it.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.
