As some of you know Phil turned me on to The Mighty Orq from Houston Texas. They have a new album not quite released yet but will be soon. They are playing in OKC tonight with an in studio live performance on KGOU
which is broadcast over the internet www.kgou.org check out www.myspace.com/themightyorq for some tracks.
They will be on in the 2:00 PM Central Daylight hour.
Really good album, you can hear a lot of influences in their work. ZZ Top, classic blues, 70's hard rock, even a bit of Doyle II. Expect a review soon.
The new CD "To The Bone" is fantastic - to be released worldwide later this year.

Wow, this is the first time I've heard them...I'm impressed. I was just going to say I wish they'd play close to me...and then I see that they're going to be in NYC on May 15th! I would love to go see them.

Just got back from seeing them. They never dissapoint. Couldn't be nicer guys. Milk Money and To the Bone are the most played albums next to Joe in recent history. Orq can sing and play he has a very unique style and sound. I think the new album will be released world wide this fall. Right now you can only get it at shows.

I got to see them perform the entire "To The Bone" CD Live at their Release Party, and it was a very memorable concert experience indeed.
