To be honest, when I first heard SILT, I thought it to be a good, albeit not great album, in comparison to ANDY. However, having said that, it QUICKLY caught my attention, and is now, like a lot of posters have already commented on, it's probably the one that I put on the most. From start to finish it's great. From the production, the musicianship and the compositions(which Joe either wrote or co-wrote 12 of the 13 tracks) it's uniformly excellent. It's also the album that I use to introduce Joe to people who aren't as into the blues as they are into rock guitar. Every one I've played it to has instantly become a fan. Then I put on the DVD, which delivers the desired 'knock out' punch, leaving them stunned and open mouthed.
So, it's the perfect package to me, the limited edition CD/DVD. Scary though, as amazing as it is, that Joe has progressed considerably in the 4 years since this was originally released.
