Topic: Joe's UK tour

Saw JB at Cambridge on Feb 14th.  Great gig.  Best I've seen in a long while.
Many songs different from the album versions but in a god way.  He really looks like he's enjoying playing for us.
My only tiny little criticism is he didn't play Tea for One.  My favourite track.  Much better thant the original Zep and I was looking forward so much to hearing it live.  But I shouldn't complain.  It was a fantastic gig and in a small hall was really the best way to see such a great guitarist.  Does he get as much enjoyment from playing as we do listening?

My son saw him in Glasgow 2 weeks later.  Sooooooo impressed!

What a fantastic guitarist.  If you get a chance, go see him.

Welcome to the forum Andy1B. You'll find loads of Joe related topics here. Feel free to tell us about yourself on the introductions page. Looks like Joe's popularity has mushroomed in the last 6 months here in the UK. Big halls from now on I guess. If you can get right at the front for the best view!

Re: Joe's UK tour

I understand the Truro (Hall of Cornwall) gig on Nov 13th has been cancelled, by the promoter (not Joe!) as it did not have enough capacity!!

gutted sad

Interesting ... it's a 1000 seater.

In eager anticipation I phoned up Bristol and Bournemouth venues this morning.  The tickets for both these were due to be on sale today but for some unknown reason they arent and I was told to check in a couple of days.  I hope neither of these gets pulled for lack of capacity.

I was hoping to go see it with my Cornish girlfriend, to introduce her to JB, she got the tickets for us, but over the weekend got a letter saying its was cancelled.  I live in Bath so will go see him in Bristol (hopefully!) but really wanted her to see him too, and she cannot do that night.

Come on Joe, play Cornwall, pretty please!

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

I also phoned the Colston Hall to day and got the same answer as you Lyn. Just out of interest the  capacity for the Colston Hall is about 1800 seated.

If it comes off and you decide to go a good tip is to book tickets direct with the Colston Hall box office.

I've seen Paul Rodgers there and Jon Anderson & Rick Wakeman and at each show I got front row seats as they seem to always have the front four rows on sale through their box office.

No matter how far you try to push the envelope, it remains stationery

Re: Joe's UK tour

Nice tip, I'll check that one out. Thanks
