Topic: Wine selection that goes with crow

I'm eating crow today since my lady terps were beaten by Jdawgs Stanford team. I just can't figure out which wine goes best with feathers. Any suggestions? Loser C

What's that word? Thunderbird! hmm

Re: Wine selection that goes with crow

Thunderbird is a breakfast wine.  MD 20/20 is for lunch.  Night Train for dinner.

And then Wild Irish Rose (the wine that never saw a grape) for your nightcap.

Re: Wine selection that goes with crow

Difficult Question.
It depends on how you prepare the crow.
We never eat crow overhere in Holland and I don't know the taste of it.

Normally a DRY riesling spaetlese is perfect, you can have a chardonnay too but not oaked, a fruity one.
If the taste of a crow is strong I would prefer a Pinot gris

Have a nice meal Cathy.

Andre..I know I've gushed before..but I absolutely adore you!!! You really are an innocent!!!  "Eating Crow" is an expression used when you have said something like "My team is going to beat yours" and then your team loses, which is the case here. I am so glad this forum is International..We all learn something new all the time. But don't EVER change!! You are the BEST!!   Cathy

Re: Wine selection that goes with crow

You -akelige, vervelende, nare- Bonafriends.

There you all got me but how should I know????????????

You eat bloody hamburgers by billions why not the tasty, pure natural CROW. WE don't but you overthere: I was not surprised at all by the CROW.

And GEORGE AMSTERHAMMER you told me something about dear Cathy that had a bit to do with that kind of bird.

Now I have to tell you all that I drink my wines alone and I was planning to bring some bottles  to RAH, but now only when someone brings  a CROW and we all eat and drink that together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK kids, if you're gonna drink wine with your crow you'll need some music to go with it.

Re: Wine selection that goes with crow

Might I suggest a nice sauvigon blanc--nice citrus notes on the palatte...you know, like orange, as in BIG ORANGE, as in my Lady Vols who are Final Four bound.

Sorry, but you brought it up wink

Larryt as in Tennessee

"...play skillfully and shout for joy." Psalm 33:3b (honest, it really says that)

Re: Wine selection that goes with crow

Since we couldn't drink (no I meant BUY) in Muscle Shoals (Sheffield, AL) we had to go up to East Tennessee through the drivethru cooler and liquor store and carry it back.

Whardja say you war?  At the filling station.  Bought ice, too.

whew that was a long time ago.  Country Club Malt Liquor in them pony cans.  I wonder is that county still dry.  I don't care now, don't drink anymore.  Just rambling.

Re: Wine selection that goes with crow

Holey Moley J Dawg.  We were young in those days.  I loved the Electric Flag, the horns and that screaming LesPaul over Steve and Buddy.  Thanks for the bittersweet memories.

You are right.  I dig that.
