Topic: A brief introduction

Hi all

Just briefly introduce myself.

I'm 43(tomorrow)and a gigging guitarist. I adore Joe's playing because he's not puritanical about the blues and is willing to bring it into the 21st century, he's not scared of being a virtuouso, Joe and myself share the same influences (sadly not the same level of ability) and he has an awsome tone.

Sadly I haven't had chance to see him yet but, 3 kids, a full time job and a preety heavy gigging schedule means I don't really get much chance to see any bands.

Any way hope to speak with lots of you at some time.

Also, no matter the number of children you have, or jobs, or lack of funds....NO MATTER the reason.....DON'T LET ANYTHING STOP YOU FROM SEEING JOE LIVE - at least ONCE............  I'm telling you, it will be one of the BEST things you'll EVER experience in your life.....EVER!!!!!

I am sure the rest of the forum members will give me an AMEN to that!!!

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Really appreciate the warm welcome.

I forgot to tell you I'm from Cambridgeshire, England. Joe's played the blues festival we have here and teh Corn Exchange, so you never know. He's high on my list of priorities.

Let me know if any of you ever intend to pass through this way.

Hi Si and Happy Birthday to you. Glad you found time to join the forum. You simply have to see Joe live at the next opportunity, just drop everything (unless holding the baby!).
What is the name of your band? My husband is called Si too and also plays guitar, not in a band though.

Enjoy your burthday - hope you get jelly and cake and lots of pressies.

Okay Si.  Do you believe me now?  Do we have to come over there and DRAG you to your first Joe show? 

Forgot to wish you a happy birthday.  Hope it was great.  Did someone buy you tickets to that Festival??  If not, take back ALL your other gifts.....take that money....do yourself a favor and......well....you know the rest.
