Topic: A Scottish Fan

Hi Everyone,

Just joined the forum and felt it only right to introduce myself.  I'm 38 years old and live on the south west coast of Scotland.  Musically I am interested in almost everything but mainly blues music like The Black Keys, Aynsley Lister, Ian Parker and of course Joe.

I am not sure but I think I have been to all of Joe's gigs in Glasgow from his infamous Renfrew Ferry gig to around 150 people to his last sold out show at the Arches.

Having been a regular visiter to the website and reader of the forums over the last few years I thought it was finally time to join in the fun.

Re: A Scottish Fan

Welcome Steve and glad you found this forum.

As you surely noticed before, this forum is full of wonderful people who care about good music, I mean real music. Joe is getting bigger and bigger and he deserves it like no other, lots of new ones on the forum the last few weeks.

Keep on posting Bonabuddie!

Re: A Scottish Fan

Greetings Steve and thanks for finally signing into the forum. I'm an Aynsley fan as well..hoping he makes it across the pond this year!! I went to a Memorial service yesterday and they had a 17 y/o piper who was amazing. There were, of course, kilts and a wee bit of talc there as well. Nice that you have witnessed Joe's ever growing stardom..You can say "I knew him when.."               Cathy

A very warm welcome to you Steve!  So glad you decided to join in the fun!  And FUN it is!!  I'm happy that you've been able to see Joe throughout the years - and even in such tiny venues - I LOVE THAT!!!  We're thinking of making our first trip to Scotland relatively soon.  I may ask you for hints here and there if need be.  smile

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Re: A Scottish Fan

Welcome to the forum Steve. Good to see another Scot on here!

I was at Joe's latest gig in Glasgow too.

Aynsley is playing in Glasgow in May supporting Robin Trower. I'll be back at the Arches then.
