Topic: Hello to All Joe B fans from Twickenham (uk)

I have  seen  Joe B  three  times : first  in a  small  hall  in Sutton  ,then twice  in  Shepherds Bush empire. I nagged  many  friends  to see  his recent  gig  and bless  him and  his  crew ,they gave a fine show. My Logon  is for Rory Gallagher and  I was told   to  watch  out for  joe  several  years  ago by  some fellow RG fans  at a tribute  night .

I saw  Rory  three   times  and  he  was even better  than they say  : joe  has  got  the same feel   and warmth  in  his playing   and  his attitude : I also feel that BDS  AND Eric Sardinas  have the same qualities :shame  that they are not gigging  in the UK at present .

Anyway  there  are  two Rory Tunes  that I would  enjoy  Joe B  having a crack  at :-

   1) A Million miles  away

    2) Sinnerboy   but the live version ( as Taste ) at the Isle  of Wight  ( its  on Youtube ) where   he  uses a mix  of Irish Traditional  scaling  with a bottle on a Telecaster .

Best  to you all

Welcome to the forum RoryG. I was lucky enough to see Rory in a club in Rhyl, North Wales about a year or two before he died. He was brilliant and seemed like a really nice guy. Not at all starry but what a star!

Nice of you to join us

Welcome RoryG. Great to have you on board. As an obvious long-time fan of the great man, have you ever seen the tribute band "Sinnerboy" and if so what did you think of them? I'm probably going to watch them in a couple of months, and I would appreciate your opinion....

Cheers and welcome again,

Paul

Welcome aboard RoryG. You have joined a happy family here so visit and post regularly. Not taking my chance to see him live at the Apollo in Glasgow a number of years ago is one of my biggest regrets.

If I'm alive when I'm 99 I'm still gonna be saying, "Remember 4th May 2009 when we saw Joe at the RAH... what a night that was!"

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-
