Hey Joe, I'm having a tough time getting a good sound out of my Mesa Lonestar when I switch between my Strat and my Paul...I have to change the amp settings when I change guitars. I can get a good Strat sound, but it won't work for my Paul, and vice versa.
How do you keep a good tone when changing between single coils and humbuckers? Do you have to change your amp settings?
I used to use the lower gain input on my Blues Deluxe for anything with humbuckers then i just fiddled with the guitar till it sounded right, I hate messing with amp dials, though i do realise dif rooms require a tweak here and there..
Thoroughly annoys me when ppl keep messing with the amps when ur trying to play, or the band is. Or just watching them in general messing with amp settings when they should be concentrating on playing 
I use low gain input for my single coil & P-90 guitars (& active pickup guitars). and then i plug humbucker guitars into the high gain input.
I do have to adjust the EQ though... Just something I've come to expect. I can get away with not doing it if I wanted though.
Its not only different rooms. It could be the same room empty vs. the same room full of people. That's why sound checks can be deceiving.

Hey Ty! You can also use 1 or 2 EQ's on your pedalboard set for each guitar. Works pretty well if you use a decent EQ.
Yeah, having to tweak my amp in between songs sucks...the eq pedals are a good idea, I may have to try that...or I could just buy another amp and carry two!
