Topic: Den Haag, last night in Holland

First one home. big_smile

I'll have to leave details for tomorrow, right now I've got to get some golden liquid down my neck!!

http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/4921/si850207cz1.jpg

It's been an utterly incredible day for me, as well as for the two boys who went with me. We met up with Marianne and Annelies, Andre and friends, Marijke and husband, and Lyn B and husband.

Fantastic show, bits and pieces here and there that were different - the boys seemed to be really enjoying themselves more than usual.

Joe was a prince. He signed two dvd's for me "To George, thanks for everything" and "To George aka Amsterhammer". I feel humbled and grateful. Managed to talked to him alone and told him what his music had meant to me. He couldn't thank me enough, which embarrassed me so much that I could only mutter, "No, no Joe, thank you."

I passed your complete message Jeff, expect a call tomorrow.

More details tomorrow people, and look out for an announcement!

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

Hello everybody,

a fantastic night it was, in Den Haag!! Completly sold out. We had a great place in front of Joe. We took my brother and his son. For the last one his first concertexperience. It couldn't be a better one. We (Hans, my husband and I) want to thank Joe and the band for two unforgettible shows. You gave us the best!! Every song was a juwel, straight into the heart! Come back to Holland soon because six times sold out in such a little country means: We love you!

Have a save trip home Lynn, nice to meet you. And George, nice to meet you too. And as we said: Carpe diem!

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

Hello,

It was a realy great concert. It was the first time my son ( Jurre 14 jr ) was at  a concert. It is is a good start to see Joe's performance.
I'll realy enjoin the show. Keep up the good work.
Mark

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

Dear Lyn,

I'm so sorry we missed you after you went for your coats. We went back upstairs, saw Rick walking in the hall, and were taken backstage over the stage, since none of us knew where the stage door was. By the time I was able to get Carmine to come down with me to look for you, you were gone, or at least we couldn't see you from the stage. I'm sure your turn will come next time!

Nevertheless, an absolutely wonderful evening!

Oh, how great that sounds! smile
I´m very happy that you could thank Joe in person this way, George ...  waiting for your "details" ........
I know I already asked that, but nobody answered, so here is my question again: is Joe feeling better by now?! Or is he still sick?

I just can´t wait anymore .... it´s still 2 weeks to go for me. I only wish I could meet all of you too - that would be the "icing on the cake"! smile

Joe looked fine Eva, no sign of any sickness at all, and he didn't even appear to be hung over from all of Andre's wine. big_smile

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum. It's great that so many young people are getting into Joe's music. What a great first concert experience he must have had. Why don't you tell us a bit more about yourselves in the introductions section so everyone can say hello properly.

Best wishes Tripsy smile

Oh, ok. I read that. It would be amazing but I don't think I will be going! Hopefully if Libby goes she will share the experience with us.

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

We had a fantastic night out again, again right up front at Joe's feet.
It turned out that we were the first people to arrive at the venue, so we sat around waiting for the place to open its doors. While waiting Joe came walking by, it seemed that he'd been shopping (carying a plastic bag etc.).
It wasnt crowded at all outside the venue until about 20 minutes before the doors opened. In a few minutes a waiting line formed along the whole block. Once inside we settled right against the stage.
The show was fantastic, I really like this setlist, good to hear ANDY and Starship Trooper live smile
I managed to shoot some pics: http://ramonzin.hyves.nl/album/24408757 … 3_07/Yzih/
I'll probably upload some movie clips as well later on.
George (Amsterhammer) stood right next to my sister recording the show. We also met Andre and Lyn with her friend. Marianne and Annelies were also around but I didnt get to meet them though.
Hope to see you all next time!

We have just one world, but we live in different ones.

Re: Den Haag, last night in Holland

Den Haag set list -

Bridge
Walk in my shadows
So many roads
Mountain Time (absolutely majestic yet again!)
Another kind of love
Sloe Gin
Highwater
Your funeral
Don't burn down that bridge
Woke up dreaming
-------------------------------
Just got paid
One of these days
Asking around for you
Ball Peen
ANDY/Starship/Worm

Identical to two days previous. I thought Sloe Gin was particularly moving, it had me in tears anyway.
