I think March Madness is one of the best things happening in sports...its just edge of your seat exciting to me!  Who is everyone rooting for?  I know Bogie's answer...University of North Carolina...always has a big presence.

so true.

actually I was never an illinois fan.   but it remains true.  I really don't follow college basketball that closely until right before the conference tournaments.  Anyhow a long time ago a few years before maryland actually won the tournament I started being a fan of maryland for reason unbeknownst to me.  I also like nc state as well for no particular reason.  I guess because they usually hold their own in the acc and make the tournament and win a few games despite not getting the talent most other schools in the conference get.  I saw Arizona play UCLA a couple weeks ago and they really impressed me even though they lost.  I am pulling for Arizona I think.  maybe because budinger looks like layne staley but really he was impressive until he blew the game.

Re: College Hoops

Teams to watch from the Pac 10 are obviously UCLA led by Kevin Love and Stanford with the "twin towers", 7' twin bros. Brook & Robin Lopez. both the teams should go deep in the brackets. The other sleeper to watch out for is Wazoo or Wash. St. and it pains me but, yes the "Evil Empire" USC will be making an appearance too. I'll root for whoevers playing them. Suhl, don't concern yourself with Arizona, they'll be watching the tourament at home.

Oh come on...Bill Self is a tremendous slouch.
The way he left Illinois was classless.

Re: College Hoops

Sorry Suhl, lo and behold the Arizona Wildcats squeaked into the tourney as well as the Oregon Ducks. That makes 6 entries from the Pac 10 as well as an East Bay team St. Mary's getting a bid too. Should be fun, GO left coast.

Re: College Hoops

Now the fun begins!!...surprising that the ACC got in only 4 teams, those guys pretty much eliminate each other as there playing each other all year....I'm tuning in Thursday, it's my day off...and the Kansas St. vs Univ. of So Cal will feature 2 of the best players in the country...the man is Michael Beasley, he's just a freshmen from Kansas State...at 6 feet 9 inches, he has unbelievable skills...he can shoot the 3 pointer...or score down in the low post...will be a GREAT!! NBA player...oh yeah, he grew up in Maryland Cathy smile

Re: College Hoops

Are the Wildcats the most common name for a basketball team?  Combining the schools we graduated from, 3 of our Philly teams were invited to the dance...11 and 12th seeds.  Always against all odds...
