Topic: My tunes, check them out and let me know what you think!

hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I thought I would put some links to allow you guys to hear a little of what me and a friend of mine do from time to time.  The links below will allow you to download several of our tunes along with a few cover songs.  I would love to know what you guys think about them!  Thanks for your time.

In a word, outstanding!

OK, some more words. I just went to http://www.musicexe.com/ and bought your album. I love the King's X influence, and also dig the Alice In Chains influence. I look forward to cranking it up!! Thanks for posting your information.

Dude- That is real gooooooood stuff. The first track I listened to was "Itchy Finger"  great rhythm, great vocals......had me tappin' me feet.

Hey.  you are very good.  i am listening to my surprise.  Kind of weird to see you posting about your band on a forum for something that sounds so different, yet to me very refreshing.  i love diversity in musical tastes.  Do you have a record deal?  Because to me at least this is way too good to be something you and your friend just do from time to time.  you should be able to make a living on it if you should choose.  and good call on the alice in chains influence guy.  you were right.  i am really digging this music.

Hey,

That´s really good! smile

I like "sinner" the best ....   have you posted something about your music yet (maybe in the Introductions section)?

Re: My tunes, check them out and let me know what you think!

hey thanks everybody for the nice comments!  It means alot to me.  no we are not signed but would love to be but honestly right now it is really just something we do together when we find time....i wish we had more time but it is difficult!!!  our music is for sure different than Joe's for the most part but we love all kinds of music and Joe as far as I am concerned is one of the all time greats!  I am so glad I discovered his music!

Re: My tunes, check them out and let me know what you think!

Maybe someone from Joes label or Joe himself will show interest. It does sound very good.

Hey kids, I got masque's CD, Conversations In Limbo in the mail...and it rocks. In fact, it rocks hard - from beginning to end. I'm digging it for sure. Very, very good. Great writing, great songs, great arrangements, great vocals. Production value and mix is good too...it's hard to believe it's a self-produced album.  Clean and tight, these guys paid attention to detail. It's not fair to paint them with a wide brush, but imagine King's X meets Alice in Chains meets The Smithereens. $12 includes shipping to your door...it's worth every penny and then some. Check it out.

I'm a computer loser and can't get past the ravens..but..Being from the Baltimore area, I love the ravens and the typewriter..very Poe..and you've gotten good reviews from people whose taste I respect. Not always easy!  Cathy

GO! is good, BUT

some graphic design critique:

The WISDOM logo on the page looks identical the shoe store Journeys' logo...
check it out:

and the WISDOM logo on the cd looks like it was simply typeset using the Papyrus font...
check it out:

I don't want to rag on your logos, but I'd just thought I'd point it out while I say the music is pretty good.

well, i'm not really sure what to say???  OK I guess and thanks for your input????  The graphic work was done in house by my buddy in an attempt to accomplish one major thing; to bring about the the concept on the cover we wanted to display which was the girl in the pose with duct tape on the mouth etc... etc.. etc...and we didn't feel that disc makers or whoever we used would be up to the task so to speak.  I guess with any logo at some point you just pick a font and go with it....obviously the font dont work for you and I respect that but it works for me and I guess it never has really been anything that I thought it would be a negative factor for someone.  Regardless, thanks for the compliments on the music.
